| The town of Deer Lodge is located in Southwest Montana just off
of Interstate 90 on the banks of the upper Clark Fork River in the heart of
Big Sky Country. Mount Powell (right) and other peaks of the Rocky
Mountains dominate the local landscape.

The surrounding Deer
Lodge Valley is an area rich in natural beauty, wildlife, and outdoor recreation
opportunities to suit just about any taste. Whether it be golfing, fishing, hunting,
hiking, mountain-biking, skiing, snow-mobiling, or simply exploring the
many mountain roads, you can find it in the Deer Lodge Valley.

In addition to its picturesque scenery and outdoor recreation, Deer Lodge also has many

explore the long and storied history of the town and the territorial west in

Of special interest to history buffs will be the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site, and the Old Montana Prison Museum Complex.
